2020 Beehive Calendar Photo Contest

We’re looking for local non-professional photographers, adventurers, or someone who just got a lucky shot on their smartphone, to feature in our upcoming 2020 calendar. Fill out the form below with your image and if we choose your photo, you get $50! If you’re lucky, you could even be featured on the cover, and win $100.
We’re looking for photos that show off the natural beauty of the area we live in. Mountains, streams, animals, plants, buildings, or anything else you’ve captured is welcome.
Read the full rules below the form, but the main points are:
- Uploads are limited to 30mb in size
- Resolution of at least 3300 pixels wide by 2550 pixels
- Please, no photos of specific people; your photo will automatically be disqualified
- Photos must be taken by you
- Landscape-oriented photos are preferred

This year Beehive is giving our members even more say on what the calendar looks like. We’ve compiled the entries to vote on. Whether it is your friend’s photo, or an image that perfectly shows off Idaho’s beauty, your input is appreciated.

2020 Beehive Calendar Photo Contest Official Rules
- Sept.1- 30: Photo submissions with member voting
- Oct. 1-3: Management approval
- Oct. 4-20: Final round of member voting
- Oct. 20: Voting ends at midnight
- Oct. 23: Winners announced
Open to all amateur artists/photographers
Must be a Beehive member as of Sept. 1, 2019
Must complete the entry form
The photo must meet specifications
Must agree to photo permissions
Members are limited to a maximum of three (3) entries into the photo contest.
Beehive will select thirteen (13) winners in the contest. Each individual entrant may have only one (1) photograph selected for the calendar. Each winner’s submission will be published in the Beehive 2020 Calendar.
The winner whose photo is selected for the calendar cover will receive $100 and Beehive gear. Other winning images will be featured on each of the 13 months inside the calendar (December 2019); each winner will receive $50 and Beehive gear.
Selected winners of the contest will have their photo published in the Beehive Federal Credit Union 2020 calendar which will be distributed to Credit Union members.
Each photograph must be in digital format between 8 – 10 megapixels (minimum 2550 x 3300 pixels). No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. All photographs must be high resolution (300dpi – 600dpi) JPEG or .jpg. Photographs that fail to meet these specifications will automatically be disqualified.
Permission to Use Entry Photography
By submitting a photo, the participating member acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions of this photography contest, as stated in the contest rules. The participating member agrees to all terms of this contest voluntarily, and of his/her own accord. They acknowledge that the image(s) he/she has entered in the Beehive Federal Credit Union photography contest is solely his/her own creation and free from any and all copyright restrictions that may hinder lawful reproduction and/or promotional use. The participating member understands that entering this contest constitutes permission to publish any and all photos he/she has entered in the Beehive Federal Credit Union Annual Calendar and other promotional purposes under the control and/or direction of Beehive Federal Credit Union. The participating member understands that his/her name and photo description may be published in the Annual Calendar or on the website along with any or all his/her photo entries.
The amount of time that you have been a Beehive Member will be published with your photo.
Photos will be open to public vote as they are posted. On or about Oct.1, 2019 all eligible Contest entries will be screened by a team from Beehive. Judging will be based on such things as use of color, composition, and originality. Officials of the contest reserve the right, at their discretion, to reject any photograph that does not conform to regulations, is deemed to be objectionable, or which is of an inappropriate subject matter. The top 10 photos for each season will be submitted for a second round of voting.
Prize money will be deposited in winners 01 Savings account.
