Online Banking Required Password Reset

Beehive Federal Credit Union knows the importance of your security and we take protecting your finances and information seriously. We have updated our online security services as a precaution against the growing cybersecurity threats.

Effective June 15, 2021, we will begin requiring members to update their online banking passwords due to these recent security updates designed to help combat fraud and better protect your accounts.You can update your password by following these steps:

Desktop Computer

  1. Log into your Web Banking portal
  2. Click on the Menu button
  3. Scroll down to the User Profile Section and click on Settings
  4. In the Edit User Info section under Edit Password, you will need to enter your current password and then create a new password
  5. Click Set New Password
  6. All done!

Mobile Phone

  1. Log into the Web Banking app
  2. Click on the Menu button
  3. Scroll down to the User Profile Section and click on Settings
  4. Click on the User Info tab
  5. Scroll down to the password section, enter your current password and then create a new password
  6. Click Change Password
  7. All done!

 FAQ

Q: I requested a password reset but it sent the reset email to the wrong email address?
A: Ensure that you are inputting the correct username. Our system is designed to not reveal if a username is active or not to prevent “account probing.” If the displayed email that the password instructions were sent to does not look correct, this is generally because you changed your username or the username you inputted is not what is listed in your Beehive account.

Q: Is this an attempt at fraud?
A: No! We are needing to implement this to protect your account from fraud.

Q: Why is this change necessary?
A: Beehive is dedicated to protecting your funds and future. Often that means making changes to improve security. This is one of those little changes that will make an impact for protection.

Q: Do I need to change my username too?
A: No username change will be asked for during this time, though you can change it at any time.

Q: What are the requirements for the new password?
A: A minimum of 8 characters, with one number and one letter.

Q: Who will need to update their password?
A: All members will need to update their passwords. This update is credit union wide.

Q: When will I have to update my password?
A: We will have the password update implemented in batches of randomized users. This will take weeks to complete. The reason for the batch implementation is to maintain the high service levels you are used to not increase our call hold times. However, you do not need to wait until your batch is due for the change; you update your password any time!

Q: Can I reuse my old password if it fits the new requirements?
A: Yes.

Q: Is the update for each account or username?
A: It is for each username, not account number. When the password is updated for your username, all other accounts will apply the password for that user.

Q: My password is autosaved and auto populates on my login screen. How do prevent it from auto populating my old password?
A: You can clear saved passwords in your browser settings. We have created an easy guide to walk you through the process. You can download that guide here: Download
