2018 Board Candidates
KIMBER RICKS grew up in the Rexburg area and has lived in Moody with his wife, Dorothy Ann, for the past 24 years. They have seven children, twenty-nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Kimber graduated from Ricks College, earned a Bachelor of Accounting from Idaho State University, and went on to receive his MBA from the University of Utah. He worked at Ricks College and for the LDS Church for 38 years, and is a retired CPA. Most of his career was spent organizing and directing fundraisers, and Kimber is a certified fundraising executive. He has been actively involved in the community, serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board and the Madison Economic Development Corporation Board. He has been a member of the Kiwanis Club since 1969 and served as Madison County Commissioner until January of 2018. Kimber was recognized by the Idaho Credit Union League as the Outstanding Credit Union Volunteer for 2013. (Incumbent)
MARILYN ANDERSON and her husband, Wade, are the parents of five children and the grandparents to 23 grandchildren. Marilyn received a Bachelor of Business from Utah State University and a master’s degree from Idaho State University. Marilyn taught language arts and business classes for seven years at local junior high and high schools. She then taught business classes at Ricks College/BYU-Idaho for twenty years and at BYU-Hawaii for one year. Marilyn has served as Office Systems Management Department Chairman, President of Faculty Women’s Organization, and as the president of various church groups. She and her husband served three service missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Marilyn is currently a member of the Rexburg Civic Club and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Marilyn’s knowledge of money management and business strategies has been enhanced through teaching business classes. She is a credit union advocate and will use her common sense and logical reasoning to keep the credit union grounded in practical services and steady growth. (Incumbent)
KYMBERLY MANN STODDARD has been a member of Beehive Federal Credit Union since she was 9 years old and created her first savings account. Though she was born in California, and later in life lived in Utah for 10 years, she considers herself a Rexburg native. Kymberly graduated from Madison High School, Ricks College, and BYU-Idaho. She has a Bachelor of Organizational Communication. During the course of her professional life, she has been a national sales director for a large paper company, program director at two gymnastics centers, coached all-star and high school cheerleading squads, worked as a top-ranked leader in a network marketing company, and currently owns The Clothing Outlet retail store on Main Street in Rexburg. Kymberly has been married to Kirk Stoddard for over 20 years and together they have three children. All of whom are now teenagers, so they are now busy coordinating schedules. Kymberly likes to be involved in community events, and is usually found serving on committees either with the local schools or the Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies include digital scrapbooking, reading, shopping, and connecting with friends on social media. She enjoys planning activities and volunteers regularly when an event needs planned and carried out. She looks forward to the opportunity to serve the community on the Beehive Credit Union Board of Directors. She is eager to learn more about the industry and welcomes this new experience.
BRENT BEAN and his wife Gaylynn have lived in Rexburg for the past 20 years. Brent attended Ricks College prior to serving an LDS mission in Lisbon, Portugal. He is a graduate of Utah Valley Community College. He was recognized as the Outstanding Student from the College of Family Life at Utah State University. He earned a master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Idaho State University. After accepting a teaching position at Ricks College, he continued his education at the University of Idaho. Brent graduated with his Ph.D. in 2010, with his area of focus in organizational leadership and development. He was recognized as the Outstanding Doctoral Candidate upon graduation. Today Brent teaches communication at Brigham Young University- Idaho. He teaches courses in Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Conflict Management, and Analytical Thinking and Moral Decision Making. Brent and Gaylynn are both active in different organizations in the community. They are the parents of four sons, and one daughter. Brent believes his greatest accomplishment is being a caring and loving husband and father.
